We have great pleasure introducing Redesdale Mia Mia Primary School to prospective parents and the wider community.
Redesdale Mia Mia Primary School has been an integral part of the local community for over one hundred years. All staff know all the children very well – students are not just another face in the crowd. We are committed to developing the whole child. We place great emphasis on children developing positive self-esteem, and to this end we expose our students to a broad variety of programs to assist them in the discovery of their passions and strengths. When children know they are good at an activity they feel good about themselves – this flows on into all areas of life.
We are committed to providing the best educational outcomes for all students and in particular building a strong foundation in English and Mathematics. Our broader curriculum includes physical education, art and music, STEM coding and engineering challenges, science, humanities (geography and history), library, Auslan sign language, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and our local environment. We work tirelessly to know and understand each child and to ensure they reach their learning potential.
We have an active and involved parent body with monthly School Council meetings. Parents provide significant support in all aspects of our school. Our small school means we have developed a highly personalised, caring community environment. We truly are a country school within reach of the city – the best of both worlds.
You are welcome to visit or contact our school at any time. Tours can be arranged by phoning 5425 3155. We would love to show you around!
