About Us

The community of Redesdale Mia Mia Primary School considers itself a family that fosters wellbeing and embraces diversity. We strive to develop independent leaders who are globally capable.

Redesdale Mia Mia Primary School is located in the gorgeous township of Redesdale, 45 kilometres south of Bendigo and 30 kilometres north of Kyneton at the headwaters of Lake Eppalock on the Campaspe River. Bus transport is available for the students and local children either walk or ride their bikes.

Our well-resourced school is set in large grounds with room for our students to run and play. We have ample play equipment, a school oval, tennis courts, basketball courts, football oval, outdoor seating, a wetlands area and chooks. Inside we have large classrooms that are also available to the community for projects and meetings, a well-stocked library and numerous withdrawal spaces for students to work independently or in groups. The school also offers Breakfast Club 5 days a week.

We are committed to providing the best educational outcomes for all students and in particular building a strong foundation in English and Mathematics in multi age classrooms. Our broader curriculum includes Humanities (Geography and History) and the following Specialist Programs:

  • STEM and Sustainability Program focusing on our local environment
  • Indonesian
  • Art
  • Music
  • MARC Library
  • Physical Education and Perceptual Motor Program

Redesdale Mia Mia Primary School participates in the Coliban Campaspe Small Schools Cluster which includes the neighbouring schools of Langley, Elphinstone, Taradale and Chewton. Our cluster coordinates a range of community events and activities for students to get together and participate in joint sporting days, camp programs for Grades 2 - 6 as well as excursions.
